CUSTOM APP DEVELOPMENT

Custom App Development in Edmonton — Web Apps, Mobile Apps & Business Tools

Every growing business hits the same wall: the work runs on a pile of spreadsheets, group chats, and five subscriptions that don't talk to each other. Jobs get missed, data gets retyped, and nobody's sure which version is current. Custom software is how you get past that wall — one system, built around the way your business actually works.

We design, build, and maintain web applications, mobile apps, custom CRMs, content management systems, and workflow automations. You describe the problem in plain English; we handle everything technical — design, development, hosting, and updates — and hand you something your team can use on day one.

We're based in Canada and build for businesses in Edmonton and across Canada and the US. You don't need a technical background — most of our clients don't have one. That's the point of hiring us.

WHAT WE BUILD

What We Build

Click any card for the plain-English version of what it is and when your business needs it.

🌐

Web Applications

Software that runs in the browser — portals, dashboards, booking systems, and full products.

📱

Mobile Apps (iOS & Android)

Native-quality apps for both stores from one codebase — built when a phone app truly earns its place.

🗂️

Custom CRM

Track leads, customers, jobs, and follow-ups in a system shaped to your exact workflow.

📝

CMS & Admin Panels

Edit your own website content, prices, photos, and listings — no developer needed.

⚙️

Workflow Automation & Integrations

Connect the tools you already use and let the repetitive work run itself.

📊

Dashboards & Reporting

Your numbers — sales, jobs, costs — live on one screen instead of buried in exports.

WHY CUSTOM SOFTWARE

Why Custom Software Beats Off-the-Shelf

Built Around Your Process

Generic software forces your business to work its way. Custom software works your way — same steps, same words your team already uses, so adoption is instant.

Replace the Subscription Pile

Many businesses pay for five tools and use a slice of each. One custom system can replace most of the pile — and the monthly fees that come with it.

Hours Back Every Week

Retyping, chasing, reminding, exporting — automation does the repetitive work so your team spends time on customers, not admin.

You Own It

No per-seat pricing, no surprise price hikes, no feature you rely on disappearing behind a higher tier. The software is your asset.

It Grows With You

Start with what you need now and add features as the business grows — instead of migrating your whole operation to a new platform every few years.

Your Data, Connected

When your website, CRM, and accounting talk to each other, you stop losing information in the gaps between tools.

OUR OWN PRODUCTS

Our Own Products — Launched August 2026

We don't just build software for clients — we build and run our own. Both of these products were designed, developed, and launched by our team in August 2026, and we maintain them every day. When we quote your project, it's with the experience of shipping and operating real products at scale.

WHO WE WORK

Who We Work With

Most of our software clients are small and mid-sized businesses — owner-operators and teams of two to fifty who need real tools without an in-house IT department. Based in Canada, serving Canadian and US businesses.

Trades & Field Services

Job tracking, quoting, scheduling, and field apps for crews — photos and checklists from the site, invoices out the same day.

Clinics & Health

Booking systems, intake forms, and patient portals that cut phone tag and no-shows for dentists, physio, and wellness clinics.

Professional Services

Client portals, document workflows, and CRMs for law, accounting, and consulting firms — less email, more visibility.

Retail, Restaurants & Inventory

Ordering tools, inventory tracking, loyalty apps, and POS-connected reporting for shops and hospitality.

Property & Real Estate

Listing management, tenant portals, maintenance-request systems, and viewing schedulers for agents and property managers.

Startups & Growing Businesses

MVPs and first products across Canada and the US — built lean, launched fast, and structured to scale when it works.

HOW WE PRICE

How We Price Custom Work

A Fixed Quote Before We Build

Custom software isn't one-size-fits-all, so we don't pretend one price fits all. After a free discovery call, you get a written scope and a fixed quote — what's included, what it costs, and when it's delivered. No hourly meters running, no surprise invoices; if the scope changes, the price changes in writing first.

Milestones and Maintenance

Larger builds are split into milestones so you pay as working pieces are delivered, not everything up front. After launch, optional monthly maintenance covers hosting, backups, security updates, and small changes — or we hand everything over and you run it yourself. Either way, the code and data are yours.

HOW A BUILD

How a Build Works

Here's exactly what happens from first call to launch — in plain English at every step.

01

Discovery Call

Week 1

You describe the problem and how the work flows today. We ask questions, flag what's worth building (and what isn't), and agree on goals.

02

Scope & Fixed Quote

Week 1–2

You get a written plan: screens, features, timeline, and a fixed price. Nothing starts until you've approved it.

03

Design First

Weeks 2–3

You see clickable designs of the actual screens before development begins — cheap to change now, expensive to change later.

04

Build in Milestones

Varies by project

We develop in stages and show you working software as we go. You test each milestone on your real work and we adjust.

05

Launch, Train & Support

Ongoing

We deploy, migrate your data, train your team, and stay available. Optional maintenance keeps it updated, backed up, and secure.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between a web app and a mobile app?

A web app runs in the browser — nothing to install, works on every device, one version to maintain. A mobile app is installed from the App Store or Google Play and adds push notifications, camera, GPS, and offline use. Many businesses only need the web app; we'll tell you honestly which fits, because the web app is usually cheaper.

How much does a custom app cost?

It depends entirely on scope — a booking portal and a two-sided marketplace are different animals. That's why you get a written scope and a fixed quote after a free discovery call, before anything is built. Larger projects are split into milestones so you pay as working pieces are delivered.

I'm not technical — is that a problem?

Not at all; most of our clients aren't. You describe the problem in plain English, we translate it into software, and every conversation along the way stays jargon-free. If we can't explain a decision simply, we haven't finished thinking about it.

How long does a build take?

Small tools and admin panels: a few weeks. A typical web app or custom CRM: one to three months. Mobile apps add store review time. You'll get a real timeline with the quote — and you see working software at every milestone, not just at the end.

Can you connect it to the tools we already use?

Yes — that's often the whole point. We integrate with email, calendars, accounting software, payment processors, form tools, and most modern platforms, so information flows automatically instead of being retyped.

Who owns the software and the data?

You do. The code, the data, and the accounts are yours from day one. If we ever part ways, everything is handed over cleanly — no hostage situations.

What happens after launch?

Your choice: an optional monthly maintenance plan covers hosting, backups, security updates, and small changes — or we hand everything over and you run it independently. Most clients keep maintenance so there's one number to call.

Can you build just an MVP first?

Yes, and for new products we usually recommend it: build the smallest version that proves the idea, launch it to real users, and invest further based on what actually happens rather than guesses.

Do you build both iOS and Android?

Yes — from one codebase, which means both stores for roughly half the cost of building each natively, and every future update ships to both at once.

Can you take over or fix an existing app?

Usually, yes. We review the existing code first and give you a straight answer: worth fixing and extending, or cheaper to rebuild properly. You get that assessment before committing to anything.
